Freelance Role: Marketing Manager

OVERVIEW

Lakeside Hammers Speedway team raced in the SGB Speedway Championship, at the Arena Essex Raceway until 2018 when the Arena Complex was sold for re-development. 

As Speedway is my main passion, I offered my services to the club in 2009, taking the role as Marketing Manager, managing all Communications for the club across all channels.   I developed the over-arching Marketing Strategy: The Extreme Team Sport to create awareness with of the high octane nature of the sport.

In 2010 I pitched for and won a season long Sponsorship deal for the Hammers with The Royal Navy, one of numerous sponsorship tie-ins I helped to secure.

In 2017, I became one of four committee members helping to run the club on behalf of the main promoter. 

Following the closure of the club in 2018 I am now part of Thurrock Hammers Ltd, a publically listed company with the sole aim of finding a new location for the team within the Thurrock area of Essex,  whilst running a nomadic National League team to keep the team name alive on the track.  I run all of the marketing and social media Channels for The Thurrock Hammers
